INTRODUCTION

Sergi: Okay, let's get started. Hello everybody, my name is Sergi and this is my friend Tània (Hello). We are student at Casa Nostra School and today we talk about the interesting film: Avatar made by James Cameron in 2009.

Tània: I suppose many of you have seen the movie, but for those who haven't seen it, I recommend it because is an impressive movie and very well done.

CHARACTERS

Sergi: Well, now I'm going to present the main characters of the film:

Humans

Jake Sully, the film's protagonist, is a disabled former Marine who becomes part of the Avatar Program. His military background helps the Na'vi warriors relate to him.

Tania: Coronel Miles is the head of operation's military. He has a profound disregard for Pandora's inhabitants and is the main antagonist of the story.

Sergi: Dr. Grace Augustine is a head of the Avatar Program. She and Jake are related peacefully with Na'vi.

Tània: Dr. Norm Spellman is a friend of the protagonist, Jake, and from the begining, they working together in the Avatar program.

Na'vi

Sergi: Neytiri is the film's female Na'vi protagonist, princess fo the Omaticaya, the Na'vi clan central to the story, who is attracted to Jake because of his bravery.

Tània: Mo'at is the Omaticaya's spiritual leader, Neytiri's mother and consort to clan leader Eytukan.

Sergi: Tsu'tey is heir to the chieftainship of the tribe, and at the begining of the film's story, he is betrothed to Neytiri.

Tània: Eytukan s the Omaticaya's clan leader, Neytiri father and Mo'at mate.

SUMMARY

Sergi: The protagonist, Jake, is sent to the planet Pandora to carry out the Avatar Program. This program consist of studying the Na'vi and discover their weaknesses, and thus eliminate them.

Tània: But Jake falls in love with Neytiri, Princess Na'vi, and realizes that they are peaceful and interesting characters. During the program, he and Dr. Grace Augustine, they make effort to avoid confrontation and protect them. To learn how just, you know... see the movie.

Dear Clare,

If I were you, I'd be very worried about this because unfortunately it's possible that the problem is serious. Are you sure these people are your friends?
Obviously, you should talk to them because if you didn't talk to them soon, the problem would be worse. You must speak honestly to hem and tell them that you are worried.
As for Steve, I think that he's a problem because he probably influences her in many things. You should talk to him clearly before the problem gets bigger.

I'd like to tell about our business. The name of our company is Total T-shirts. The directors of this company are Tània Omedes and Eugeni Masgrau.

The business has started in 12th of August of 2009. The company make t-shirts from recycled materials. We think that our service will be successful because it's original and beautiful.

The product will want the young people. Now, we sell the service in a shops but in the future we will have an Internet page and a catalogue. In the future we will need more people and they will have to be energetic and ambitious.

The writer: Mary Shelley (Writer, period and importance of the novel).
Mary Shelley (30 August 1797 - 1 February 1851) was a British novelist, short story writer, dramatist, essayist, biographer, and travel writer. Her best work was Frankenstein or The Modern Prometheus. The story has had an influence across literature and popular culture and spawned a complete genre of horror stories and films. Shelley started writing the story when she was 18 and the novel was published when she was 20. The first edition was published anonymously in London in 1818. Her father was the political philosopher William Godwinm, and her mother was the philosopher and feminist Mary Wollstonecraft.

The plot (film summary).
Victor Frankenstein is a scientist who researches techniques on re-living beings. Create a monster called Frankenstein. The monster tries to get closer to humans, who reject him and hides the field. He acquires a minimum education. Nevertheless, aware of how different people like and never accept, why kill a relative of the scientist.

Victor, however, does not fulfill his promise for fear of creating another monster and began a persecution similar to each other to death. After the creature killed the scientist estimated. In the North Pole, Victor dies of illness and the monster commits suicide with his creator.

Victor Frankenstein:
Colin Clive (20 January 1900 - 25 June 1937).
He was a British stage and screen actor best remembered for his portrayal of Dr. Frankenstein. Clive first worked with James Whale in the Savoy. Theatre production of Journey's End.

Elizabeth:
Mae Clarke (16 August 1910 - 29 April 1992).

She was an American film actress.
She was married and divorced three times, to Lewis Brice, Stevens Bancroft and Herbert Langdon. She didn't have children.
Principal works: Frankenstein, Big time and The House of a Thousand Candles.

Frankenstein:
Boris Karloff (23 November 1887 - 2 February 1969).
He was an English actor who immigrated to Canada in the 1910s. He is best remembered for his roles in horror films and his portrayal of Frankenstein's monster in the 1931 film Frankenstein.

THE FUTURE

In my opinion our lives will be easier in the future. We'll create a lot fo pollution. Scientists will create super-robots which do the most difficult jobs. The robots will do everything for us. We will have a lot of more time for entertainment or relax.

I think it's important that we colonise space. If we don't live on other planets, we'll have much more pollution in the earth and we won't survive in it. In general I feel very pessimistic about the future. I believe that people will learn to be very responsible and intelligent. The future is in our hands.

Roller Skating has existed since 1915, but its origins are more than 300 years old. It started in London, but now there are clubs in more than one hundred countries. It is the most popular roller skating in the world.

The biggest international Roller Skating's competiton is the World Championship, which started in 1979. Women have competed in the championship since 1981. Roller Skating never became an Olympic sport.

One of my favourite competitors is Tanja Romano. Tanja became world champion in her class in 2003 and 2007. She was the first Italian woman to win a gold medal at the championships.

Synopsis:
The story of a rugby match that changed the destiny of a country, a true story that shows the ability of sport to unite a diverse range of people. We are talking about INVICTUS, one of the most eagerly awaited films of recent months, which opens here this Friday (29th January).

The action takes place in South Africa in 1995, only a year after the first multiracial elections in the country's history. The election had been won by the black political leader Nelson Mandela, a symbol of the struggle against apartheid the racial segregation system imposed by the white minority for many years. The elections marked the end of this abominable system.

THE RECIPIE: BROWNIE

Ingredients:

- 200 g of chocolate fondant
- 100 g of butter
- 125 g of walnuts
- 125 g of sugar



Step 1: Preheat oven to 180 º C.
Step 2: Put the chocolate and the butter in the fire, and mix the preparations.
Step 3: Mix in a bowl the eggs, the sugar and the chocolate.
Step 4: Party the walnuts.
Step 5: Add the walnuts in the preparation.
Step 6: Put the preparation in the mold, and enter the mold in the oven. Wait 30 minutes.

Hi Pau.
I'm writing this email from Mallorca. The weather is really hot at the moment but I really like it here because the people are funny and friendly. We're driving around the country and we're stopping in different places.

We've just arrived here in La Palma. In the last few days we've gone to some interesting museums and we've seen some parks. So far I've really enjoyed the food!

Tonight we're staying in a small and beautiful beach near the city of La Palma. Tomorrow we're going to leave the car here and we're going to travel by plane through Catalonia. It should be fun.

Welcome to Best You Sport and Health Club.
Here, near the sea in Can Cun (Mexico), you can relax or do exercise. Our club is the best because the people who work here are friendly, responsible and honest. Hannah Montana and Zack Efron often come here.

At the Best You Club we have three gyms, eight pools... so if you're energetic enough you can do some exercise. Or perhaps you can spend sometime snorkelling in our private beach.

We also have a plastic surgery specialist, so you can change your image. After four or five days at the club, people feel better and more beautiful.

ROCK CAMP FACTS

Every summer, around 100 campers, aged eight to 18, arrive at Rock Camp from countries like Canada, Brazil, the USA, England and Germany.
Most campers stay at the homes of local families.
Not everyone who comes to camp is an expert musician so every day, campers take classes in their favourite instruments. They can choose guitar, bass guitar, drums, keyboards, turntables or vocals.
The campers give a concert at the end of camps.

A dog called Moses is a big dog with a big problem! He was running after the family's four cats in the garden when the cats jumped through the cat flap. Moses tried to follow them but he got stuck because he was too bing! "He thinks he's a cat", says Lisa, his owner.

Hi Pau.

I'm writing this email from Mallorca. The weather is really cold at the moment but I really like it here because the people are funny and friendly. We're driving around the country and we're stopping in different places.

We've just arrived here in La Palma. In the last few days we've gone to some interesting museums and we've seen some parks. So far I've really enjoyed the food!

Tonight we're staying in a small and beautiful beach near the city of La Palma. Tomorrow we're going to leave the car here and we're going to travel by plane through the Catalonia. It should be fun.
