Oral Presentation 2: AVATAR.

INTRODUCTION

Sergi: Okay, let's get started. Hello everybody, my name is Sergi and this is my friend Tània (Hello). We are student at Casa Nostra School and today we talk about the interesting film: Avatar made by James Cameron in 2009.

Tània: I suppose many of you have seen the movie, but for those who haven't seen it, I recommend it because is an impressive movie and very well done.

CHARACTERS

Sergi: Well, now I'm going to present the main characters of the film:

Humans

Jake Sully, the film's protagonist, is a disabled former Marine who becomes part of the Avatar Program. His military background helps the Na'vi warriors relate to him.

Tania: Coronel Miles is the head of operation's military. He has a profound disregard for Pandora's inhabitants and is the main antagonist of the story.

Sergi: Dr. Grace Augustine is a head of the Avatar Program. She and Jake are related peacefully with Na'vi.

Tània: Dr. Norm Spellman is a friend of the protagonist, Jake, and from the begining, they working together in the Avatar program.

Na'vi

Sergi: Neytiri is the film's female Na'vi protagonist, princess fo the Omaticaya, the Na'vi clan central to the story, who is attracted to Jake because of his bravery.

Tània: Mo'at is the Omaticaya's spiritual leader, Neytiri's mother and consort to clan leader Eytukan.

Sergi: Tsu'tey is heir to the chieftainship of the tribe, and at the begining of the film's story, he is betrothed to Neytiri.

Tània: Eytukan s the Omaticaya's clan leader, Neytiri father and Mo'at mate.

SUMMARY

Sergi: The protagonist, Jake, is sent to the planet Pandora to carry out the Avatar Program. This program consist of studying the Na'vi and discover their weaknesses, and thus eliminate them.

Tània: But Jake falls in love with Neytiri, Princess Na'vi, and realizes that they are peaceful and interesting characters. During the program, he and Dr. Grace Augustine, they make effort to avoid confrontation and protect them. To learn how just, you know... see the movie.
