FRANKENSTEIN!

The writer: Mary Shelley (Writer, period and importance of the novel).
Mary Shelley (30 August 1797 - 1 February 1851) was a British novelist, short story writer, dramatist, essayist, biographer, and travel writer. Her best work was Frankenstein or The Modern Prometheus. The story has had an influence across literature and popular culture and spawned a complete genre of horror stories and films. Shelley started writing the story when she was 18 and the novel was published when she was 20. The first edition was published anonymously in London in 1818. Her father was the political philosopher William Godwinm, and her mother was the philosopher and feminist Mary Wollstonecraft.

The plot (film summary).
Victor Frankenstein is a scientist who researches techniques on re-living beings. Create a monster called Frankenstein. The monster tries to get closer to humans, who reject him and hides the field. He acquires a minimum education. Nevertheless, aware of how different people like and never accept, why kill a relative of the scientist.

Victor, however, does not fulfill his promise for fear of creating another monster and began a persecution similar to each other to death. After the creature killed the scientist estimated. In the North Pole, Victor dies of illness and the monster commits suicide with his creator.

Characters:

Victor Frankenstein:
Colin Clive (20 January 1900 - 25 June 1937).
He was a British stage and screen actor best remembered for his portrayal of Dr. Frankenstein. Clive first worked with James Whale in the Savoy. Theatre production of Journey's End.
















Elizabeth:

Mae Clarke (16 August 1910 - 29 April 1992).

She was an American film actress.
She was married and divorced three times, to Lewis Brice, Stevens Bancroft and Herbert Langdon. She didn't have children.
Principal works: Frankenstein, Big time and The House of a Thousand Candles.





















Frankenstein:
Boris Karloff (23 November 1887 - 2 February 1969).
He was an English actor who immigrated to Canada in the 1910s. He is best remembered for his roles in horror films and his portrayal of Frankenstein's monster in the 1931 film Frankenstein.
